Great Wall Motor, headquartered in Hebei, has incorporated DeepSeek’s AI into its “Coffee Intelligence” connected vehicle system, enhancing the driving experience with advanced AI capabilities.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has announced that China’s top three telecommunications providers—China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom—are collaborating with DeepSeek’s open-source model. This partnership aims to promote the widespread application of cutting-edge AI technology across various sectors.
DeepSeek’s AI platform has garnered significant attention, leading to increased investor interest in China’s tech industry. Investors are particularly optimistic about the potential benefits for Chinese chipmakers, software developers, and data center operators.
However, some companies have urged caution. Capitalonline Data Service, a Beijing-based cloud computing firm, acknowledged deploying the DeepSeek-R1 model but clarified that this development does not alter its current business outlook.
