TECH MediaTek has introduced its latest mobile processors, the Dimensity 7400 and Dimensity 7400X, designed to enhance performance and efficiency in mid-range smartphones. These new chipsets build upon the foundation of their predecessors, the Dimensity 7300 and 7300X, with notable improvements.

Enhanced CPU Performance

The Dimensity 7400 series features an octa-core CPU configuration, comprising four Cortex-A78 performance cores now clocked at up to 2.6 GHz—an increase of 100 MHz from the previous generation—and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores operating at 2.0 GHz. This adjustment aims to deliver smoother multitasking and improved application responsiveness.

Graphics and Gaming Enhancements

Both chipsets integrate the Arm Mali-G615 GPU, supporting LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. MediaTek’s Adaptive Gaming Technology 3.0 is also included, optimizing performance to balance power consumption, thereby extending battery life during gaming sessions.

Display and Imaging Capabilities

The Dimensity 7400X variant offers support for dual displays, catering to devices such as flip and foldable smartphones. Additionally, the integrated Imagiq 950 Image Signal Processor (ISP) supports 12-bit HDR and camera sensors up to 200 megapixels, enabling high-quality imaging experiences.
