Honor Power Debuts with 8,000mAh Battery and Snapdragon 7 Gen 3

TECH – Honor has officially launched its latest smartphone, the Honor Power, in China, boasting an impressive 8,000mAh silicon-carbon (Si/C) battery. Despite its substantial battery capacity, the device maintains a slim profile, measuring just under 8mm in thickness. The battery offers exceptional endurance, supporting up to 25 hours of video playback, 23 hours of TikTok usage, over 23 hours of navigation, and 14 hours of gaming. Charging is facilitated by 66W wired charging, although specific charging times have not been disclosed.

Under the hood, the Honor Power is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device features a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,224 x 2,700 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, and a peak brightness of 4,000 nits. The screen also supports 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for reduced eye strain.

In terms of photography, the Honor Power is equipped with a dual-camera setup on the rear, comprising a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.95 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 5MP ultra-wide lens. The front-facing camera is a 16MP sensor housed within a pill-shaped cutout, capable of recording 1080p videos.

Connectivity options include dual SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3 with LDAC and aptX HD codecs, NFC, and a USB-C port (USB 2.0). The device also features Honor’s proprietary C1+ RF enhancement chip, promising improved signal reception. Notably, the 12GB/512GB variant supports BeiDou satellite messaging, offering 20% better positional accuracy with triple-frequency BeiDou and dual-frequency GPS.

The Honor Power is available in three color options: Snow White, Desert Gold, and Phantom Night Black. Pricing starts at CNY 2,000 ($270) for the 8GB/256GB model, CNY 2,200 ($300) for the 12GB/256GB variant, and CNY 2,500 (~$340) for the 12GB/512GB version. Early bird promotions reduce these prices to as low as CNY 1,700 (~$230). Pre-orders have commenced in China, with official sales beginning on April 18.
