<p>This remarkable engineering feat involved moving 1,500 tonnes of structure and placing these seats above the track typically used for athletics. Support structures and concrete slabs ensure stability and fill gaps in the stands, creating additional concourse areas. These seats make up nearly half of the stadium’s 55,000 capacity, transforming the venue into a rugby fan’s dream.</p>
<p>The Singapore Sevens 2024 kicked off on May 3, extending the tournament to three days from the usual two. Serving as the grand finale of the 2023-24 World Rugby Sevens Series, the event will determine the season’s league winners.
