SINGAPORE – Marina Bay Sands (MBS) announced on February 6 that the highly anticipated drone show, The Legend Of The Dragon Gate – Drone Show by the Bay, was canceled for the evening due to unforeseen circumstances. Originally scheduled for 8 PM at the Marina Bay waterfront, the show was meant to be the highlight of MBS’ Chinese New Year celebrations. Despite the cancellation, other festivities, including the Chinese New Year light-up event at 7:30 PM, proceeded as planned.
MBS shared the cancellation update via Facebook around 2 PM, apologizing for any inconvenience caused. To compensate, the drone show will now debut on February 10, with additional performances slated for February 11, 12, 16, 17, and 18, all starting at 8 PM.
Reactions on social media were mixed. While some expressed disappointment, like Alan Chiu, who mentioned rearranging his travel plans for the event, others like Wilson Wong acknowledged the decision, noting, “Better late than never.”
